X-Golf has partnered with the Professional Long Driver Association to participate in this year’s Long Drive Competition to raise money for the PLDA.
We are offering participants two levels of competition and a chance to compete in the national finals for cash and prizes!
*Men and Women’s competitions are available for multiple entries.
The X-Golf Long Drive Tournament heated up across the country with some huge shots recorded, and an amazing display of athleticism from our pro competitors.
Brendan Moylan, from Queensland, was leading the event with a 385.3-yard drive and looked to have the competition tidied up before the final weekend. However, over the final weekend of the tournament, Paul Mews, competing out of our newest location, Balcatta, WA hit a 404.04-yard bomb to set a new X-Golf national record and take the gold.
A special mention goes out to Luke Elliot, who took 3rd place with a close 380.5-yard drive.
Thanks to all that competed, the top 2 Long Drivers Nationally will receive a 3-month membership at their qualifying venue and PLDA Long Drive cap while the top 2 from each state will be invited to our National Championship playoff event to decide on the PLDA X-GOlf Indoor Long Drive Champion this May 22nd at 3 pm (AEST).

The amateurs put on a great tournament with 60 entries across the country, and over 50% of the competitors clearing the 300-yard mark.
Matthew Kirk from Enoggera, QLD topped the list with an amazing 371.9-yard bomb that would have earned him a top 5 in the pro category, and Matt Nicholls also from Enoggera finished with a 368.6-yard drive, which earned him the runner up spot.
Una Raymond-Hoey earned the title of “Longest Driver” for her venue in the women’s division with a solid 263-yard bomb. Runner up, Linzey Valines from Maroochydore, recorded an impressive 210-yard drive to give her the edge over Emily Aston, who took third place with a 154.1-yard drive.
The top 2 players from each category will be awarded an X-Golf PLDA Cap and a 3 Month Membership to their local venue to keep the swing tuned. While the top 2 qualifiers from each state will also be invited to our National Playoff to be held on Saturday, May 22nd from 3 pm to 4 pm to play for $2500 in cash and prizes and the title of Australian Indoor Long Drive Champions.

We have implemented some new measures and guidelines to ensure you are coming back to a safe space.
• We will have a limit of 20 players in the venue at each time
• Players will be limited to 4 per simulator
• Extra hand santising stations around the venue including at entry and on all simulators.
• Social distancing markers around the venue to help you navigate the 1.5m physical distancing rule
• We will be conducting a temperature check on entry to ensure no one has a fever
• All simulators will be cleaned and sanitised between each booking, including all computer stations and hire sets
• Frequent cleaning of high traffic areas including door handles and bathrooms.
