ENJOY SOME FAMILY FUN AT X-GOLF THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!
X-Golf Group is thrilled to announce, off the back of record growth for existing franchisees, a 40 year extension to its distribution agreement for X-Golf simulators in Australia and New Zealand.
From the first pilot location launching in 2012, X-Golf Group now has [12] franchise owned and operated kiosks in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and – as of May 2021 – Western Australia
X-Golf CEO Ben Styles says, “I am incredibly excited about the growth of X-Golf in Australia, especially where we have existing franchisees planning on opening second venues.”
“We are so proud of the success of the X-Golf franchisees, and continue to invest back into brand diversification, even better customer experiences and software upgrades. This includes partnering with X-Golf America to bring something new to the industry that I am sure customers will love, working with software developers with backgrounds at EA Sports and Disney.”
“Locking in the long term distribution agreement for Australia and New Zealand was a key goal of our growth strategy for 2021, and I know I speak on behalf of all of X-Golf when I say we’re thrilled to be sharing this news with you today.”
As part of the growth strategy, it was unanimously decided by the X-Golf Board to do some housekeeping. As this housekeeping has since received unexpected (and misinterpreted) attention, X-Golf wanted to share a summary of these changes today as well, which included:
- deregistering an unused corporate entity titled X-Golf Central Pty Ltd;
- liquidating an unused corporate entity titled X-Golf Australasia Pty Ltd.
These two entities have been on the books for a few years now without any operations, with no assets or liabilities, and needed to be wound up. The advice given to X-Golf was the best way to remove the companies from the books was through deregistration and solvent liquidation and we are in the middle of that process at the moment. Just for clarity sake, these are procedural measures only and the liquidation in no way reflects anything about X-Golf’s performance, or impacts on any part of the X-Golf franchise, commercial or residential sales, or warranties.
Ben said, “You can look forward to an exciting period ahead from X-Golf, with new venues, new software, a new X-Golf app, a new brand offering and an exciting new way to fit and sell golf clubs. We live in an evolving industry which X-Golf pioneered and will remain at the forefront of for many years to come.”
