X-Golf’s 31st and 32nd venues celebrate opening in style as the golf entertainment revolution rolls on.
In a fortnight of pure celebration, X-Golf has officially welcomed two brand new venues to the national network and the opening parties were nothing short of spectacular.
X-Golf Mackay and X-Golf Ballarat – our 31st and 32nd venues respectively – have flung open their doors to huge local support, lots of media interest and the kind of electric atmosphere you only get when a brand is rewriting the rules of an entire sport.
With the X-Golf executive team arriving in each location to celebrate alongside CEO Ben Styles, the launches were a proud moment for the business and a major milestone for the local owners who have brought their vision to life.
Mackay Hits the Sweet Spot
In late May, franchisees Roy and Mary hosted Mackay’s very first indoor golf celebration, rolling out the red carpet for friends, family, Local Member Andrew Willcox, a flurry of media and special guests.
With the bar flowing, simulators in full swing and a buzz of curiosity and excitement in the air, the HomeCo Centre came alive among the golfing community.
For many attendees, it was their first time experiencing the cutting-edge X-Golf sims, and the reaction was unanimous: “This is something Mackay has never had before.”
CEO Ben Styles praised the Roy and Mary for their passion and commitment…
“Roy and Mary have created a space that’s fun, inclusive and totally future-facing,” he said.
“They’ve brought big-city entertainment to regional Queensland and the response so far has been incredible. We can’t wait to see what else they can achieve.”
Ballarat Goes Big
Just a week later in June, X-Golf Ballarat lifted the bar again.
Owned and operated by Ben Ferrier and his brother, two-time Olympian, Scott, the venue’s launch party was a packed-out affair.
Held in the heart of Ballarat’s emerging sports precinct, the night was filled with great food, cold beers, first swings on the sims and non-stop smiles from locals who instantly saw the potential of the space.
New staff members mingled with family and friends, and the executive team made the journey in from Melbourne to explore the newest space.
The Ferrier brothers are proudly supported by their father, the man who introduced them to the wide world of sport decades ago.
“Seeing our family, friends and the X-Golf team here tonight means a lot to us.” said Ben Ferrier.
“We’re not just launching a venue – we’re opening the doors to a whole new way to enjoy golf in Ballarat and we’re thrilled to be a part of a vibrant local sporting community.”
These two openings mark far more than growth at X-Golf – they represent the launch of two new gateways into the sport for regional Australians. With indoor golf now accessible in Mackay and Ballarat, plus at X-Golf’s other 30 locations, new communities can experience the game without the traditional barriers.
As X-Golf continues to expand, these opening nights stand as a reminder of what the brand is all about: energy, innovation and bringing people together through the game of golf.
Congratulations to the X-Golf teams in Mackay and Ballarat on these exciting milestone occasions!
