X-Golf Geelong is raising a glass and vital funds this Men’s Health Week.
A community-led initiative designed to spark conversation, support men’s health and encourage connection, X-Golf Geelong’s “Pints for a Purpose” sees $2 from every schooner sold donated directly to Right Mate, a local not-for-profit dedicated to improving the health of men across the region.
So far, the venue has raised $300 and with three days to go, they’re calling on the community to come down, get involved and help make every pint count.
Launched as part of X-Golf Geelong’s broader mission to support mate ship and men’s health through movement, the campaign reflects the positive environment the venue strives to provide.
Co-owner Cody Craven says that X-Golf is about much more than indoor sport – it’s a place where men can reconnect, unwind and support one another in a safe, casual setting.
“Pints for a Purpose is about giving back while creating space for those important conversations,” Cody said.
“You don’t need to be struggling to benefit from a supportive environment. At X-Golf, we’ve seen how simply showing up and having a hit with mates can have a real impact.”
Regular players have echoed this sentiment, describing the venue as a judgement-free zone where they’ve found new friendships, purpose and a much-needed break from life’s pressures.
And while the “Pints for a Purpose” initiative may be light-hearted by name, its message is serious – men’s health matters and small actions can lead to big change.
The fundraiser has already drawn strong support from patrons and locals alike, with hopes to push well past the initial target by Sunday evening.
