X-Golf has reached yet another major milestone, with the opening of its 34th venue in Newcastle on later this month.
The high-tech $1.5 million sports-entertainment hub at Tighes Hill marks another significant step in the rapid growth of the group and indoor golf overall, bringing X-Golf’s world-class simulator experience to one of Australia’s most sports-driven cities.
Located on Elizabeth Street at Tighes Hill, the 612sqm venue will feature six state-of-the-art golf simulators, a full bar and kitchen, coaching access through PGA-accredited professionals and a range of competition and social play formats designed to fit modern lifestyles.
For X-Golf Group, the Newcastle opening is more than just another pin on the map. It reflects the growing demand for accessible, experience-led entertainment that combines sport, hospitality and technology under one roof.

Speaking ahead of the opening, one of five venue partners and owner of X-Golf Mackay, Roy Boase, said Newcastle was a natural fit for the concept.
“Mackay and Newcastle certainly share a similar social makeup,” Roy said.
“We find ourselves anchored in communities that value lifestyle, whether that means spending time along the coast, playing sport or hanging out with family, so we know it’s important to make their downtime count.”
Known for transforming the traditional golf experience, X-Golf allows players to complete a round in under an hour using patented simulator technology powered by high-speed cameras, lasers and advanced tracking sensors. The system delivers real-time performance data while removing many of the barriers associated with traditional golf, including weather, travel time and course delays.
The venue has been designed to cater to everyone from serious golfers chasing performance improvements through to first-timers looking for a social night out. Cold drinks, share plates and casual competition are all part of the experience, helping create a new community space that feels equally suited to after-work catch-ups, weekend sessions and family outings.
The opening will create nine local jobs and will deliver X-Golf Group’s strong focus on community engagement, with plans to work alongside schools, local sporting groups, charity initiatives and junior development programs.
As X-Golf continues its nationwide expansion, the Newcastle venue represents another landmark achievement for the brand and further proof that the appetite for modern, tech-driven sporting experiences continues to evolve across Australia.
X-Golf Newcastle officially opens on Friday, 22 May at Unit 110 Elizabeth Street, Tighes Hill. Click here to book your session.
