X-GOLF PALMERSTON BUILDS FUNDRAISING MOMENTUM WITH STRONG TURNOUT FOR CANCER COUNCIL

X-Golf Palmerston is spotlighting the Cancer Council NT for X-Golf for Good, hosting 25 charity staff and volunteers for a dedicated golf day with further events planned as part of the six-week campaign.

The turnout highlights the power of X-Golf’s indoor golf experience to bring people together beyond the game, with Palmerston now exploring quarterly events following the positive response from Cancer Council NT participants and volunteers.

Their fundraising effort continues on Thursday, 5 November, when the Palmerston team hosts a community night featuring golf activities and an auction of donated prizes to raise money for their chosen cause.

Cancer Council Senior Fundraising Officer Natalia Cardona said community fundraising played an important role in supporting Territorians affected by cancer.

“Community fundraising is critical to helping Cancer Council NT support people dealing with the impact of cancer throughout the Territory.”

“X-Golf Palmerston’s efforts are a great example of how local businesses can turn community participation into meaningful support. We’d love to see more locals get behind the next event, whether they’re regular golfers or simply out to support the cause,” Natalia said.

The Palmerston initiative forms part of X-Golf for Good, a six-week national campaign running from 5 October to Sunday, 15 November, 2026. Across Australia, X-Golf venues are backing charities and causes chosen by their local teams, using golf simulators, mini golf and social experiences to make fundraising more accessible and engaging.

Last year, X-Golf venues raised more than $21,000 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. This year’s campaign expands the ways players can contribute, from in-venue donations and fundraising challenges to charity food offers and a national silent auction.

Players can scan an in-venue QR code to donate directly, while the Chippies for Charity initiative directs $2 from every serve of chips to participating causes. Golfers can also take part in nearest-the-pin and hole-in-one competitions, alongside a free national tournament offering a share of a $1,500 prize pool.

The campaign’s final fortnight will also feature a national silent auction, with prizes including luxury holidays, sports memorabilia and wine packages.

At Palmerston, the focus remains on turning local participation into tangible support for Cancer Council NT, while building a stronger connection between the venue and its community.

X-Golf for Good runs until Sunday, 15 November 2026. To find out more or get involved, visit xgolf.com.au/whats-on/x-golf-for-good.
